At Falkirk, we run our training courses in two different formats.  The traditional six days, back to back or a split weekend.  Both courses have six days contact time.

Full week: 9 - 14 June, 4 - 9 October 2025.  Days 1 - 4 8.30am - 7.30pm; Days 5 & 6 Expedition 9am - overnight - 5.30pm.

Split course: Course 1 - First weekend 2 - 4 May/Second weekend 9 - 11 May.  Course 2 - First weekend 5 - 7 September/Second weekend 12 -14 September.  Course 3 - First weekend 31 October - 2 November/Second weekend 7 - 9 November.

First weekend - Days 1 - 3 8.30am - 7.30pm; second weekend - Day 4 8.30am - 6.30pm; Days 5 & 6 Expedition 9am - overnight - 5.30pm.

Mountain Leaders offer people an opportunity to explore the UK and Ireland's highest mountains on foot, where spectacular views feed the soul, challenging terrain tests the body and making the right decisions is essential.  Mountain Leaders can also lead walks in hills, moorland and lowland areas.  6 days: 8.30am - 7pm - variable start time on Expedition days.
